Nous avons tous peur des araignées et connaissons peu de personne qui les aime. Mais il semble que la situation pourrait changer car ces minuscules pattes d’araignées sont à croquer.
Les arachnides ont des mini pattes appelées tarse, qui se trouvent au bout de leurs jambes et sont habituées à s’agripper. Les touffes colorées de chaque coussin les aident à marcher sur les surfaces verticales, y compris l’herbe. Les coussinets sont composés de près de 600 000 mini poils.
Les araignées utilisent leurs jambes comme oreilles et nez pour détecter les sons et les odeurs car elles ne possèdent pas d’antenne.
Les araignées qui filent les toiles ont trois griffes, tandis que les araignées de chasse n’en ont normalement deux.
L’artiste Michael Pankratz a déclaré: « Grâce à ces objectifs macro et à leurs images, nous sommes en mesure de voyager dans le monde de nos minuscules sujets, de les voir directement lors d’une véritable rencontre . »
« Alors que ma passion des tarentules était peut-être avant tout esthétique, mon implication croissante dans l’intérêt de ses petites bêtes est incroyable, grâce à ces clichés je les comprend mieux et les trouve fascinantes.
Le photographe s’est débarrassé de sa peur des araignées et a également élevé plus de 100 tarentules et créé l’une des archives photographiques de fétichisme de pieds les plus uniques.
