La vie d’une actrice n’est pas épargnée par le malheur.
Shannen Doherty, l’interprète de Brenda dans Beverly Hills et de Prue dans Charmed, ne le sait que trop.
L’actrice s’est en effet vue diagnostiqué tardivement un cancer en 2015. Dans la foulée, elle subie une masectomie et enchaîne les séances de chimiothérapie. Documentant son combat sur Instagram, nous la suivons dans ses hauts et ses bas. Ainsi, elle a publié une vidéo du moment où elle a dû se résoudre à se raser le crâne. Les perdre par poignées n’était tout simplement plus supportable.

Néanmoins, la star n’a jamais baissé les bras. Et aux photos d’elle allongée sur un lit d’hôpital se mélangeaient des images plus joyeuses, comme cette vidéo d’elle dansant avec sa mère.
Elle annoncera également sur son compte Instagram la fin de son traitement, le 7 octobre 2016. Elle ne cache pas l’épuisement qui l’a gagné : « Maintenant que j’en ai terminé avec la chimio et les radiations, le jeu de l’attente commence» écrit-elle. Heureusement, elle peut compter sur son mari pour la soutenir.
Heureusement, la suite se veut rassurante. Le 28 avril 2017, elle nous apprend qu’elle est en rémission. Néanmoins elle se veut prudente tant elle sait que dans un cadre comme le cancer, les 5 années qui suivent le début d’une rémission sont cruciales.
Sur son Instagram toujours, la vie reprend ses droits. Shannen Doherty respire le bonheur et le partage avec tous ceux qui l’ont suivi dans son combat. Elle s’est même investie dans la cause animale, preuve s’il en fallait de la force de cette incroyable femme.
